Avatar: The Last Airbender Oc
Name: Anzu.
Age: 16 (series), 17-18 (The Promise trilogy), 18-19 (The Search trilogy), 87-88 (Legend Of Korra).
Gender: Female.
Looks: Tall, black hair, fair skinned, golden eyed.
D.O.B: 83 A.G.
Birth Place: Fire Nation Palace.
Family: Ozai (father), Ursa (mother), Iroh (uncle), Zuko (twin brother), Azula (younger sister), Lu Ten (cousin [deceased]).
Single or Taken: Taken.
Sexual Orientation: Straight.
Behavior: She is haughty, spoiled, easy to bore, boisterous, arrogant, and a know it all, truly loves her brother and uncle, mourns the “loss” of her father to his own selfishness/insanity, of her sister to her deteriorating mental state, and of her mother whom she believes is dead.
Likes: Zuko, Uncle, being treated like a princess, Jet (shockingly), Mai and Ty Lee (though not while they’re working for Azula), being smart (or at least being perceived as being smart), witty remarks (mostly her own or Sokka’s).
Dislikes: Her father (mostly for what he did to Zuko’s face), her sister (for being too much like their father), being on the run from the Fire Nation, Zuko (for a time, during the beginning of season 3), how silly Uncle can sometimes behave.
Pets: None.
Bio: CHILDHOOD AND SEASON 1: Anzu’s childhood was pretty much the same as Zuko’s, except that their father didn’t hate her, in fact he was starting to groom her to be the next Fire Lord, even though Zuko was older. When Zuko faced Ozai in that fateful Agni-Kai match, she turned her head, and buried it in Uncle’s shoulders when Ozai struck Zuko, and gave him his scar. She decided to join her brother in exile instead of staying at home, despite her father’s rage. He told her that if Zuko didn’t return with the Avatar, then she could not return either. While Zuko was dealing with his rage issues, Anzu began to accept that she was never going to go home, as she believed that the Avatar was dead, and the reincarnation line was broken. She quickly grew resentful of her brother, taking out her anger at their father and her own decision out on him, making their relationship very strained. She eventually got over it (mostly), and instead spent her time training, and dashing her brothers hopes of finding the Avatar. When they found the Avatar, Anzu was absolutely shocked and kept repeating “How?!?”, to which Uncle replied with some ancient-sounding wisdom, which made Anzu scowl and her left eye twitch. She continued to help her brother hunt the Avatar for the remainder of Season 1 while surreptitiously pointing out what she believed to be “plot holes”, showcasing that she hardly believed any of this was real.
SEASON 2: In season 2, she went on the run with Zuko and Uncle, and cut her hair short. After Zuko flipped his shot and went off on his own, Anzu screamed that she was going off on her own as well at his retreating back, and stormed off. She managed to almost be captured by Fire Nation soldiers (for trespassing), but Jet and his remaining Freedom Fighters come to the rescue. She joins with them temporarily, as they are all headed for Ba Sing Se. When they reach the Ferry station, she catches a glimpse of Zuko and Uncle and does a very un-characteristic thing: Screams his fake name (Lee) and tackles him to the ground. Later, when Zuko asks her how she knew what he was calling himself, she blames it on “the twin-thing”.  She works as a server in the same tea shop as Uncle and Zuko throughout the remainder of the season, until Uncle gets his own and she declares herself “head decorator” and claims that she will be too busy to be a server anymore, making Zuko smack his forehead in frustration. She notices Jet following them around, and often leaves 3 cups of tea by the window for Jet, Smellerbee, and Longshot to enjoy while they spy. She claims that she finds Jet hilarious, despite the fact that he’s become obsessed with throwing them all in jail. At the end of the season, during the big fight in the catacombs of the Ba Sing Se palace, she sides with Uncle and the Gaang against Azula and the Dai Li, and is enraged, and betrayed when Zuko sides with Azula. Azula eventually shoots her down with lightning, not managing to kill her, after she shoots down Aang, and she ends up captured and is eventually thrown in the Burning Rock prison.
SEASON 3: For most of season 3, Anzu is imprisoned in the Boiling Rock prison, and actually becomes close with Suki, and is forced to anti-up with Jet, who is also in there (yes, in my story, he lived and was thrown in prison). They don’t see eye-to-eye, most of the time, because Anzu is nothing but cold and Angry during her stay, due to the betrayal from her brother, in fact the only thing that she and Jet can agree on is how much they both hate Zuko and Azula (Jet never met Azula, but he became friends with Suki while in prison and heard how bad she is). When Zuko and Sokka break in to the prison, she almost gets them discovered, due to her habit of making bad decisions while angry, and only stops when they say that they are going to break her, Suki, and Jet out. She almost doesn’t want to be broken out, if it means being helped by Zuko, but eventually Suki manages to convince her to take the out, and she helps Suki convince Jet to, as well. She takes way too much pleasure in the fact that her brother gets discovered and is thrown in the jail as well. When Azula shows up, she reluctantly decides to fight alongside Zuko against her. She spends most of the rest of the season angry at Zuko, and refuses to accept his apologies and gestures. It isn’t until Zuko makes a heartfelt “If I die facing Azula” speech to her right before they leave to defeat their father, that she finally forgives him, and tells him he’s an idiot (‘cause touchy-feely moments aren’t her thing). After Ozai is defeated, and Zuko ascends to the throne, Anzu decides that palace life is no longer what she wants, and leaves with Jet to help restore the Earth kingdom to its former glory and weed out any would-be trouble makers.
THE PROMISE TRILOGY: (I haven’t read “The Promise” trilogy, but when I do, I’ll fill this part in.)
THE SEARCH TRILOGY: In “The search” trilogy, Anzu joins her brother, sister, and most of the Gaang, in a search for her mother and the truth of her past. She is reluctant, at first, to go on this trip, mostly because she believes her mother to be dead, and this is “the one time (she) doesn’t want to be right”. She is also weary of letting Azula out of the proverbial looney bin. When Azula (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!) reveals the contents of a letter written by their mother, and Zuko begins to believe that he may not be Ozai’s son, she slaps him and starts yelling at him. She believes that their mother knew that Ozai had been reading Ursa’s letters and put this line in there to see whether he confronted her about it or not in order to find out if her suspicions were true. She also believes that their mother’s former fiancé was murdered by their father (or at least on his orders), and that when their mother found out about this, she ran off into the forest and died there. Whilst in disguise, she greatly enjoys watching a play being put on in Hira’a (their mother’s home town) that was being put on by a couple by the name of Noren and Noriko. She truly enjoys herself whilst playing with their daughter, Kiyi. Though Zuko does not want to believe any of this, he admits that it is more than a possibility. When they head off into the forest, where Noren says their mothers former fiancé fled, Anzu refuses to let Azula out of her sight. Upon meeting and hearing the sad tale of Misu and her brother, Rafa, she expresses that she would rather help them in recovering Rafa’s face than continue their fruitless search for their mother, to which both Zuko and Azula start arguing with her about. After they find the Mother of Faces, and Azula takes the chance for Misu to restore her brothers face away from her by asking about their mother, both Zuko and Anzu are enraged by her insolence and selfishness, showing that Zuko, too, would rather help other people then learn his mother’s fate. But the spirit answers and tells them that she replaced Ursa’s face and took away her memories. It is revealed to them that their mother is now Noriko, and her former fiancé is not her husband, Noren. When Azula take off back to the village, she admits that she was wrong, and is happy about it, but asks Zuko to please let their mother remain happy as Noriko, and not tell her who she really is, because she is afraid that the truth would break their mother’s heart. Zuko agrees and they and Sokka take off after Azula, hoping to beat her to the house. They manage to beat her to the house, and Sokka stands guard outside while Zuko and Anzu try to warn Noren and Noriko of the impending danger without letting slip that they know who they are. As they are about to leave to join Sokka in protecting the house, Noren demands that they reveal who they truly are, and when they do, Noren apologizes for not being completely honest with them. He then explains to his wife that who she used to be, and that she has 3 children in the royal family, one of whom has ascended to the throne. Before anything can be revealed about the twins paternity, Azula and Sokka burst through the roof and Azula attacks. Sokka gets Noren and Kiyi out of the house, and Anzu moves to attack her sister, but when Azula grabs Noriko, she is forced to stop in order to not hit her. Noriko says that if she really is Azula’s mother, then she apologizes for not loving her enough and Azula becomes emotional and leaves, dropping the letter behind her, and flees into the forest. Anzu, Zuko and Noriko all follow her but lose track of her after they come across the Mother of Faces and the rest of the Gaang, just after the Mother of Faces restored Rafa’s face. The Mother of Faces asks Noriko is she would like her to restore her memories of being Ursa, and though Zuko and Anzu try to tell her not to, she agrees, and the Mother of Faces gives her back her memories and her old face. The story ends as Ursa tells the twins that Ozai is indeed their father, and that Anzu had been right about her ruse in the letter, and asks if they would like to hear all about her life in Hira’a, to which they say that they would love to. The last line is “For you, my dears… I’ll start from the beginning…”

UPDATE: Changed "Personality" to "Behavior" and corrected a few things.

So, yeah this is my A:TLA Oc, Princess Anzu. Yes, she's Zuko's twin sister. I know, I know, "Ugh, another "Zuko's sister" oc? How typical!" to which I say, "Shut up, I know it's a cliche, but I think I've made a very good and complete character!". I also know, I also know, "Ugh, another "Jet's actually alive" story arc? How typical!" to which I say " Shut up, he's an awesome character, and his "death" was ambiguous at best". So.. yeah. I've already answered any hate I might get! Yay! Also, where it says she's "taken" that's an assumed-relationship-with-Jet thing at the end of the series. And as for her name, I decided to name her "Anzu" to keep the whole "Zu" thing that's happening with this generations Fire Nation royal family names. You know,  'ZU'ko, A'ZU'la, An'ZU'. Yeah.

Anzu = Me.
A:TLA = Micheal Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko and Nickelodeon
